Qatar Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi said the distinguished performance of the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) was not a mere coincidence, but is the result of continued cooperation between the state's different sectors to build academic curriculums and build national cadres capable of excelling and moving the country's institutions in light of the competitive economy.
This came during the speech of HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs at the commencement of a new class of students from the University of Doha for Science and Technology.
It is worth noting that this is the first class of Doha University of Science and Technology graduates, and its eighteenth class since it was previously known as the College of the North Atlantic.
It is the first national applied university, established in 2022, after 20 years of experience as an applied college in Qatar, and it offers bachelor's and applied master's programs, diploma programs and certificates in several fields. It also offers more than 60 programs in business administration, computing and information technology, engineering technology, health sciences, and vocational training programs.
His Excellency said that many of today's graduates will meet an urgent demand for the state's economy and will work with host of experts in all fields.
He congratulated the parents of the students on their children's graduation, and the state institutions on recruiting some of the best young talents.
