Qatar sets new travel rules for India & other Asian States from 2nd August

02 August 2021

The following guidelines have been announced by the Ministry of Public Health, which will get effective from midday on 2nd August 2021.

These updates of procedures are meant for travellers coming from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Philippines.

•    Travellers who are fully vaccinated in Qatar or have recovered from Covid 19, and are coming from any of the above-said countries, they will have to undergo a hotel quarantine for a period of two days, and on obtaining a negative PCR test result on the second day, the quarantine may be ended.

•    All other travellers coming from these countries will have to undergo hotel quarantine for a period of 10 days.

This implies, visitors (family, work or tourists) who are vaccinated outside Qatar with MOPH recognized vaccines, will have to undergo the mandatory 10-day hotel quarantine, and those who are not vaccinated cannot enter Qatar.

MoPH has also updated the classification of countries in yellow, green and red list. For more details on this, visit the Health Ministry website.

Meanwhile, Discover Qatar has begun to accept bookings for the 2 days mandatory hotel quarantine for travellers coming from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
